Senior Medical Scientist, VIDRL – Doherty Institute

JasonRobertsAs a virologist specialising in public health surveillance with an avid interest in computational simulation and visualization, it wasn’t long before I started mixing the disciplines together. I’ve found that animations have a powerful way to connect to the public and other scientists, often elegantly explaining difficult concepts and complicated data. Sometimes it is just pure eye candy to stir up pangs of curiosity. Whatever the effect, I love bringing the viruses to life, as it were, to appreciate their form and intimate connection they have with us throughout our lives.
